The "GITE" Option

SAVE MONEY AND SELF-CATER

In other countries, particularly France, a common accommodation option is for completely self-catering, longer term stays, at a very much reduced tariff.

This type of accommodation is often found on farms and rural properties and is ideal for families or groups of friends as it reduces cost, allows flexibility in meals, including breakfasts, and gives guests the chance to sample local produce from markets and local growers. The concept is based around rental of a self-contained property for a longer than overnight stay, and complete self-catering.

In some cases, all linen and cooking equipment is provided and that is what we do at Surveyors Hill

The "Gite Option" at Surveyors Hill provides for the following:

rental of entire cottage with two queen bedrooms, fully self catering, suitable for two or four adults

The cottage also has a sofa which converts into a comfortable double bed

a minimum stay of three nights

COMPLETELY SELF-CONTAINED, all linen, kitchen equipment provided, farm-produce including lamb and beef, olives, eggs, wines, jams and conserves available for purchase in season, as well as organic vegetables from neighbouring producers

reduced nightly tariff, on the following scale:

(NB --- normal per night full B&B tariff for 2 adults is $135, for 4 adults $210 per night, children over 4 years, full B&B $20 per child per night)

5+ nights $100 per night $140 per night
