Some Of Our Favourites
Touriga is a native Portuguese red wine grape, grown extensively, but particularly in the Douro Valley, as a base for port and, increasingly, for fine dry red table wines. With floral characters on nose and palate, the Touriga (with a small admixture of cabernet franc) is a soft medium-bodied wine, with a unique flavour profile.
Cabernet franc is a beautiful aromatic red variety ideal for making rose. The resulting wine is delicately perfumed with good length, finishing dry. A great accompaniment to Asian food.
An unusual blend of the fragrant and rustic “earthiness” of the noble Portuguese variety, Touriga Nacional, with the cool climate sweetness and elegance of Shiraz.
The Cabernet Franc is medium-bodied with the typical varietal characters of softness, light tannins, and a fragrant bouquet. Cabernet franc is usually found with its relative, cabernet sauvignon, but this wine proves it makes a lovely wine in its own right.
